💰How to get the best price for your Micro Asset

On average, valuations fell in the second half of 2022, and they continue to be generally lower in 2023. Buyers are price-sensitive. Factors such as the war in Ukraine, rising inflation and interest rates, and supply shocks create global uncertainty, and everyone wants a safer bet.

If your asset is pre-revenue then you need to be realistic with your price. According to data from Acquire taken from the end of 2022 the average pre-revenue site sold for $9,783 and took an average of 4 months to sell. Most pre-revenue items sold for much less and only a very small amount achieved more than $10,000. It’s also worth noting that Acquire is considering removing pre-revenue items altogether from their marketplace.

Selling pre-revenue items is fine as long as you are realistic about the asking price. Ideally it’s better to wait until you have some revenue and paying users, and keep an eye on your churn.  Churn is a big red flag to buyers. That way you’ll get a stronger price, more interest, and a quicker sale. As always, it will be a huge advantage if your project has good traffic, whether it has paying users or not.

Top tips:-

  1. Find paying customers.

  2. Increase profitability.

  3. Automate where possible.

  4. Keep an eye on churn.

  5. Focus on boring stuff, like getting website traffic.
